2010 GSC Football Team Preview — UNA

North Alabama was selected to repeat as GSC Champions.  A trio of offensive lineman return in Jamie DixonWill Furlong and Kyle Futch.  Lee Chapple is the favorite to start at quarterback after transferring from Division I-FCS Georgia Southern.  Running back Marcus Sims was a First Team All-American in 2009, running for 325 yards and 11 TDs.  Charles McClain (306 yards) and Jusmon Rivers (336 yards) lead the wide receiver stable.  Pre-Season All-GSC defensive back Chad Daniel heads the defense after collecting 37 total stops a year ago.  Joining Daniel in the secondary are Division I-FBS transfers Bryan Thomas (Florida) and Deandre Morgan (N.C. State).  Linebacker Albert Russell played in all 13 games in 2009, posting 10 tackles for loss along with 37 tackles. Larry Wilson also played in 13 contests racking up 32 total stops.  Pre-Season All-GSC defensive end Courtney Harris collected 3.5 sacks along with 5.5 tackles for loss and 37 total tackles.
