Lion will play in Cowboys Stadium
RICHARDSON, Texas – The University of North Alabama football team will have a chance to play in one of the greatest stadiums on Earth next Fall when the Lions face Abilene Christian as part of the Lone Star Football Festival at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington.
The announcement was made Tuesday by the Lone Star Conference office.
Teams from Abilene Christian, Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas A&M-Kingsville and West Texas A&M have been selected to represent the LSC in a tripleheader of games that will feature two conference contests and UNA against Abilene in the marquee non-conference matchup.
The single-day event is planned for Saturday, Sept. 17 at the $1.2 billion Arlington facility that is hosting the Super Bowl this February.
