Football adds 25 signees

FLORENCE — The University of North Alabama football program has added 25 new faces with the signing of 15 newcomers to the National Letter of Intent, and the addition of 10 midyear transfers who are enrolled at UNA this spring. UNA head coach Terry Bowden announced the additions Wednesday.

Among the 14 incoming freshmen next fall will be a wealth of offensive talent that includes four running backs, a quarterback, a tight end, two offensive linemen and three players signed as athletes who could help on either side of the ball.

UNA’s list of transfers includes six wide receivers and three linebackers.

  1. I was hoping to see more defensive linemen recruited. I imagine the coaches are looking at possible transfers to come in and help. I am hungry for a title, was there when we won 3 in a row. I would settle for two in a row before we go D1. We travelled back for several games last year and you could sense the crowd wanting UNA to get back to that level.
