Lions over #19 West Georgia

FLORENCE – Theron Jenkins recorded his eighth double-double of the season with 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead the University of North Alabama men’s basketball team to a 67-62 win over No. 19 West Georgia Thursday evening at Flowers Hall. The win evens the Lions’ GSC record at 4-4 on the year and secures the season sweep over the Wolves. West Georgia falls to 18-4 on the season with two of the team’s four losses coming to UNA.

Three-point shooting helped the home team once again as the Lions (12-8 overall) connected on 8-of-20 attempts from long range. During UNA’s four-game home stand, the Lions hit 41 three-pointers, going 3-1 during the stretch with the lone loss coming at the hands of No. 12 Alabama-Huntsville.
