North Alabama loaded with seniors and high hopes in Year Two of Bobby Wallace’s return

FLORENCE, Alabama — The Gulf South Conference coaches voted 10 North Alabama players onto their preseason All-Conference football team. That’s more representatives than any other school.

However, they picked UNA to finish third, behind defending national champion Valdosta State and defending GSC champ West Alabama.

That can only mean one thing to Bobby Wallace, the Lions’ coach.

“So they don’t think I’m a very good coach,” Wallace said dryly Monday afternoon at a function for media and UNA supporters at the Robert Trent Jones golf course.

Wallace’s track record would prove otherwise.
