North Alabama libero Lauren Greenhill (Jr., 5-8, Florence, Ala.) is the Gulf South Conference East Division Defensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. The junior averaged 5.4 digs per game (81 total) for the Lions, who went 2-2 in the Regional Crossover at Florida Southern tournament. She had 27 digs against Saint Leo and 23 more against Lynn. Greenhill added seven assists and three service aces.

The win by the Blazers creates a three-way tie for first place in the GSC East Division with UNA, VSU and West Florida each claiming 4-1 conference records.
While the capstone event was the football victory against Arkansas Tech, there were many successful Lions teams this Homecoming week. The soccer team defeated UAH on the road, while the volleyball team swept Southern Indiana. Also, stand-out runner Hirbo Hirbo got his third win of the season in Cross Country.
